So what is sublimation printing t
shirts?
This process of printing unlike screen or
transfer printing benefits from the fact
that you can do small runs of prints with
the artwork being full colour. This had been
a major issue for printers in the past since
if a customer wanted to have a full colour
design printed on a tee and wanted say less
than 10 pieces it would have been uneconomical
for a screen printer to print that - without
off course quoting a very high price. With
the development of sublimation dyes which
bind to man made fibers meant you can do
great full color designs using only an ink
jet sublimation printer (fitted with a small
subli-kit). It was great news since the equipment
was not very expensive and you can get
excellent printing results. However the
downside was you could only print on
polyester made garments which are not very
popular to wear. The t shirt which we are
offering for this purpose is great in the
sense that inside of the t shirt is 100% cotton
which keeps contact with the skin, which
although works out expensive but still
priced very competitive and cheap. The
other draw back of subli t shirts are that
you have a limited colour options unlike
100% cotton t shirts which you can get in
more than 20 different colour from the
market.
How to get started using sublimation
paper?
Although you can buy the sublimation t
shirt from us at great prices you still need
to buy the printer and paper from another
supplier. There are a number of companies
which offer the necessary tools and training
e.g. Xpress and Target Transfers.
