Possibilities on
personalised varsity jackets
using printing and
embroidery
There are so many opportunities and positions where you can very easily get your logo on a varsity jacket. At the moment this style is very much in fashion and practically all the major brands have this line as part of their range or 2012 collection. That is a good point to get plenty of ideas on how to brand this product with your own created artwork for your label. Traditionally this style is being used in all the major American universities and colleges especially in the classic cheer leading squads with the classic numbering on the front left breast and printing on the back. The top brands have picked up on this concept and have taken it further with customisation with their own logo on the front left breast, sleeve and back points for decorations with their artwork. So whether its Adidas or Franklin Marshall all have adopted this varsity style look and have personalised it with their Trade Mark (TM) logos. Although this style is very much popular amongst the colleges and universities in UK who want to follow the same line as the American colleges recently the mechanising companies have been quick to offer this product printed for their clients e.g. for the music or gaming industry. So lets look at some examples of how it can be printed or embroidered
Getting the logo on the front
right or left breast or both
The front left breast has
always been the most popular
position to getting the classic
appliqué style embroidery of the
numbers - using classic college
fonts as embroidery in large
format give that classic look.
Customer can also have this
printed if they find the
embroidery option slightly above
their budget - below we
illustrate with very boarding
costing only as an idea - please
note below is only a cost idea
subject to the quantity of the
order.
Back position printing on the
varsity tops
The back position is another classic place to have your logo printed. The benefit of doing a print on a varsity jacket is that unlike a pullover hoodie in which the hood can be an obstruction for a motif so in this product you do not have that drawback hence a bigger area to get the design on. The only limit is the size of the screen.
Numbering logo on the sleeve
Another popular position is the sleeve - having classic 2 digit numbers embroidered makes the whole garment look very exclusive indeed. Clients can have text or even custom names printing going down the sleeve in any colour ink they like.
